While mturk will definitely give you more for less time, this is proof that provided enough time and a strategy you can earn over $1000 a month in beer money without mturk, even if i take the eventual stuff i listed above.

of my earnings, about $175 came from passive videos on my 7 devices. most of those was from viggle.
