A few updates! We launched Smores.tv into beta a few days ago. Smores.tv is a new concept where we will be partnering more closely with approved content creators to create channels on our platform and get paid as well as give out free swag to users. Given that it is new, there is a low viewing cap to start. The viewing cap on Smores.tv is separate than EngageMe.tv and LootUp.tv. Over the next few weeks, we'll be rapidly releasing features and new content creators to Smores. In the mean time, tell us what you think! We'll be sure to announce new updates to Smores regularly.
On the other hand, EngageMe.tv was faced with a challenge January 9th when an unscrupulous competitor created and published a fake video pretending to be a fake ad agency and accused us of ad fraud in a likely attempt to put us out of business. This video was subsequently sent to most major ad partners in the industry creating a quick knee jerk reaction. On January 24th, we filed a lawsuit against DoGood Media, creator of EarnHoney & VideoLoyalty, as we believe, based on clear evidence of 2 unique IDs in the video, that this plan was executed by a number of employees at the company. Subsequently, we logged 20+ pages of evidence leading back to the same competitor over and over again. Now that it has been nearly 2 months, we have restored 90% of our relationships back to normal but have 10% to go. We decided not to share this at the time as we had it under control and did not want to cause a panic. However, with 10% still remaining, we know our users continue to feel some of the lower reward availability. We apologize for the delay in sharing this, and we hope to restore fully sometime in March.
